From your wikipedia link...to me that means you promote a stock and sell into your promotion to make a quick profit.

Roy has been a poster and holder of the stock for months and months...do you not see the difference.

Everyone either promotes or talks down a stock...ramping is when you do these and either sell as or soon after you promote the stock or vise versa if you talking it down.

There is quite a difference between the 2 points.

You probably cant get your head around the difference though.
