To be fair. Your overall thesis is correct. If someone want's to buy it they must expect Cu prices to boom.
Further to the extent the US is: printing money; fostering liquidity; increasing M1, whatever people want to call it, it is likely Cu price in USD terms will be stronger.
Of course there are countervailing arguments.
