Of course we will use gas but as Cuadrilla seem intent on proving it can’t be extracted in the UK without causing unacceptable problems. Mitigation even if it were possible would be expensive and estimates already suggest that UK fracked gas would be uncompetitive with the forward prices of LNG on the open market.

Major purchasers of gas won’t care if the gas they buy is from Lancashire or anywhere else - they will buy on price.

The UK government keeps pumping out reports saying we have a diverse and secure supply of gas and that they see no problems ahead.

Uk fracking is unnecessary and would be uncompetitive - I am amazed that you cannot see that, but it looks like somebody fed you a hook and you swallowed it.
