At the 1HY presentation, Grech talked about protocols and medicines. At the diagram below, there are c14,000 cases at or beyond Claim Notification. So we can assume only 55-60 cases were settled in the 1HY ($1.1M revenue)
Grech states 40-50% of cases to settle (total portfolio 50k+). This was reaffirmed in the audio presentation in the HY results.
14,000*40%=5600
5600-60=5540
5540*£10,000*$1.90=$105,260,000.00
These 14k of cases have been in the Claim Notification stage or further advanced for the last 15 months.
From start to finish the process should take 24 months for settlement. We have no appeals from the judgement handed down in March 2015. The High Court have made a final ruling that NIHL is classified as a disease up to the present date.
Management has always flagged before removing guidance, that cashflow was heavily skewed towards the second half.
I have confidence in management of achieving their targets with NIHL. Why you ask? How else can they achieve the earliest maturing tranche of $480M in May 2018 then $360M in March 2019. The banking syndicate must believe they can....
