japanese investors are dumping everything, (including foreign investments in gold, US Treasuries etc), to protect what is left of their super IMO.
As their domestic interest rate is virtually non-existent they gamble their life savings in the 'carry trade' seeking higher yield from perceived lower risk markets.
Looks like they got that wrong-yet again.
