Update:
TOKYO, Oct 24 (Reuters) - Japan's broad-based Topix index
sank 6.1 percent on Friday after Sony Corp <6758.T> tumbled on a
profit warning and dragged other exporters down on earnings
worries.
The Topix <.TOPX> had lost 53.31 points to 818.39 by 0351
GMT, while the benchmark Nikkei <.N225> shed 7.3 percent to
7,839.55.
