TOKYO, Oct 24 (Reuters) - Japan's Nikkei average fell over 8
percent on Friday to its lowest in nearly five and a half years,
with exporters hit by the double punch of a Sony Corp <6758.T>
profit warning and a sharply higher yen.
The dollar hit a 13-year low against the yen, falling below
95.77 yen, and the euro slid against the Japanese currency as
well.
At 0532 GMT the Nikkei was down 672.42 points at 7,788.56,
while the broader Topix <.TOPX> was down 6.7 percent to 813.30.
