Incredibly optimistic, advertisers are not spending anything. I work in the industry and it's a bloodbath. The revenue declines will massively outweigh the cost savings on things like NRL, AFL, Olympics not going ahead etc...
This resurgence in TV viewership is a huge tease, yes it is great people are relying on TV again now, but there is no way to monetise or capitalise on this - first spend of any brand that goes is marketing/advertising.
I feel very pessimistic about the overall sector, the only reason I am holding on to Nine is the subscription services for Stan and the papers. I genuinely think this could be the end of Channel 7 as we know it.
