Not sure if its a concerted effort to act against the common enemy of despair, or the Chinese making a preemptive strike to warn the Fed off any reckless action that may harm their interests. There's an economic cold war going on quietly in the background imo. Perhaps the Chinese reminding of mutually assured destruction via the oil price? Their timing is strange anyhow - while Europe are the ones in serious trouble and doing nothing?
