    Chookman, the last years of the 4.2 diesel in the patrol....these do not hold quite the same safety margin if heading bush proper as they have electronics up the wazzoo compared to the identical engine just a few years earlier but thats being a little picky......pretty much if it has a TD4.2 as the powerplant it will be ok the rest of the vehicle is largely much the same in the GUs i understand but hit the net to nail the last 3 years of changes....if it hasn't overheated or been over fueled which are the same rules for any engine..... it's just that with the 4.2 one can expect to double most other engines lifetimes before laying a spanner to it.....so it becomes more paramount to get a recognizably good one straight up and keep it good...one overheat and like all engines it's all over red rover...plasticized rings forever, it might run ok but it will never last.
