Hi chookman, over fueling refers to increasing the amount of fuel available to the diesel engine...this can create a lot more power but also increases exhaust gas temps toward dangerous levels.......a big killer of diesel engines and if not over fueled enough to kill it fast it will still kill it way faster than non over fueled engines..

More fuel to a petrol engine wears it out faster but doesn't do anything much else to it.

Less fuel to a petrol engine will increase combustion temps and risk early death sometimes this will be catastrophic esp on turbo petrol engines.

Too much to a diesel will melt pistons...too little fuel will do nothing in harm but only make it slower, turbo or no turbo.

With just 10 minutes of tinkering under the bonnet of my car I could turn the fuel up high enough to proceed with ease to melt the pistons within the next 30 minutes and I wouldn't need to break any speed limits to do it.
