There is definitely a sense of urgency in India to reduce the dependency of importing coking coal by any means necessary.
If they are going to be ranked in the top 2 steel exporters globally, as well as using it to support the huge expected demand domestically, reducing costs and gaining a competitive advantage in production over other methods and nations needs some investment in new technologies on top of existing methods.
If the the final report gets the nod, Niti approval will be a tick and flick imo
