Well its does make sense that PLA would be a cheaper target.
If a vulture fund can pick the bones of PLA and then mothball the assets until platinum prices goes higher then re-open the mine, or even flip the assets, could be a lot of money to be made.
At least PLA can begin to mine within 3-4 months since all the infrastructure is there.
NKP would need at least 2 years of construction before you can see platinum being sold.
NKP may represent a lower cost per ounce (only on paper at this stage) but PLA can give a quick start to production (given that prices and other costs can be controlled and managed well).
