Cant find and accumulate report of all open shorts, but this shows only 1744 shares were shorted on Nov 17th. One of the last days before the trading halt. The days around it had no reported short sales.
It is limited to 10% of available stock and needs to meet liquidity requirements. ie Genorahs shares dont count, nor most of the top 20. Leaves very few shares for shorting.
Shorting is not as widespread as you think.
Why is it that everytime someone is negative, they must be shorting. But someone that is positive is acceptable. A holder saying positive things has a motive for doing so.
This will be a landmark decision for the DMR with far reaching ramifications. While in a trading halt nobody is gaining from any change in market price, so 99% of people are speaking their honest views, be it positive or negative. Debate flows and everyone benefits.
KIWI and Researcher in particular have opened alot of dialog that has developed for the benefit of everyone.
I interpret the recent silence of Shapiro as a positive. He was very outspoken initially. Either he has been advised to quite down or he has less to gloat about.
NKPO all the way baby.
