Just guessing but with all that is happening I can see Xstrata / Anglo driving the price down so from a 50% JV we may expect to be offered 30% or less take it or leave it.

In such circumstances I am thinking that a smaller scale go it alone operation is the best way forward so that the resource is preserved to be fully exploited when NKP are in a stronger position. NKP management seem to be thinking the same with their multiple options on the BFS.
