It's my understanding that once the Bermudan court has made their ruling Zijin will have to pay up or their South African mining licence will be threatened because the SA mining authorities will require Zijin to comply with international law. Actually considering the mine value and the capital already invested in it I find it amazing that Zijin is still holding out against the minorities. It must be something to do with the Chinese perception of "loss of face" because the evidence against them is overwhelming and anyone with an ounce of common sense would have settled years ago although we should always remember that without the persistent efforts of one man (+ 2 legal teams + experts) Zijin would have just steam rollered all of us long ago and we would have forgotten about it by now.
