No use at all in that scenario Topwon but that's the chance I take, noone can predict what or when it will happen and I don't take those things into consideration otherwise I'd be sitting in every stock I enter waiting for a trading halt or an important report etc etc. If I happen to catch a move like that all well and good and If I don't well there's plenty of other opportunities out there. I don't buy in waiting on announcements. I buy in when there is the least risk to my capital with the chance of a profitable move.

Just my way of doing things, I know it's not for everyone and that's fine too. Each to their own eh?
