Not quite.
A "trading halt" only suspends trading for 2-3 days.
A company can voluntarily request a suspension if they think an issue will take longer than the 2-3 days to resolve.
If a company fails to comply with listing rules e.g. timely reporting of results to th ASX, the ASX can also suspend trading of the company.
Hence, a suspension doesn't necessarily have to be all bad.
