Neyveli Lignite Corporation Limited (NLC), a power generation company, has agreed to invest INR144,820 million (USD2,186.79 million) in the construction and development of first phase of coal fired power plant situated in Thirumullaivasal in the coastal district of Nagapattinam, Tamil Nadu, India. The total installed capacity of the first phase of the power plant will be 1,980 MW. The investment per MW will be USD1.1 million.
