NMDC plans progressing in a hurry!!

"We are trying to finish the setting up of NMDC's Nagarnar plant in 2016 or 2017." IMO feasibility studies required for Matmor plants will progress quickly so the plant is up and running in line with NMDC's operation targets!!

"The railway siding project is a critical component of the steel plant to bring in critical raw materials such as iron ore, coking coal, limestone and dolomite, etc for production and for outward movement of finished steel and slag." These comments give us an indication of how import Coldry and NLC are to NMDC's operation targets!! Most of us understand the importance of the iron ore pelletisation and how efficient this is for transportation purposes ... no better way to quickly transport these finished products by rail!!
September 2015 corporate presentation reference is made here regarding Matmor, "By utilising the rich organic chemistry within low rank coal, the Matmor process is able to deliver a high quality product without the need for high quality coking coal, resulting in decreased raw material cost and diversified supply options." Matmor provides exactly what NMDC need!! (refer to page 34 of the Corporate Presentation regarding the Matmor timeline - Matmor Pilot Plant current stage!!)

"Project to be completed by IRCON is slated to be completed in the next 18 months to coincide with the plant's production schedule, NMDC said." Great indication hear of timing - the article also mentions September 2017 being the indicative timeline that the railway will be in operation for transportation purposes!! IMO, this timing should give ESI-NLC-NMDC to work together to complete feasibility studies (IMO these have already been completed) and progress to demonstration/pilot plants and commercialisation by September 2017!!
The September 2015 corporate presentation disclosed key dates for regarding a "techno economic feasibility study to start Q3 2015 for a >200,000 tonne per annum plant to produce high grade PCI coal from lignite". And what quarter are we in ... Q3 2015!!

"The minister inspected the construction work at the Blast Furnace, Thin Slab Caster, Sinter Plant, Coke Ovens, Raw Material Handling System, Power Blowing Station and the Steel melting Shop, it added." FYI, the reference is made to the Steel & Mines Minister - no doubt he would have been one of the Ministers involved in the final clearance!!

And finally ... for the new guys on this forum and those that rely on the select few who provide detailed research. I encourage everyone to re read the Corporate Presentation of September 2015. IMO, this was prepared for a particular reason! Look forward to having this updated.

GLTAH. It's been a long road and an even longer and more prosperous one to come at a time where global markets have been crunched. It's been a pleasure to meet some already on this forum (Mega and Co) and I look forward to meeting more of you.
