The truth is we don't know how much DD was done. We don't know if they walked, were pushed or are still getting approvals.
There are now several news reports from India (see MAK thread). The more recent reports do not include any comment from Nanda, I expect he has been silenced.
I think you are correct in that they will probably come good in the long term with respect to the LCY project at MB (emphasis on long term).
As for acquisitions, not looking so good.
