I think MOF may struggle with the purchase price unless they could sell some offshore assets to raise the cash.
Even if they would like to buy No.1 it may be beyond them and contra to their recent Investor Forum presentation about downsizing and getting rid of gearing.
However, if Yuyu's research is correct and MOF do sell some of their US assets it may free up funds.
