I'm not sure this is true, but if it is, I'll stand corrected.
My own stock is held by CommSec in my name. I'm not aware that they can loan it out for shorting, but if they can I would be very annoyed.
Does anyone know for sure and can they back this up with evidence of some kind? I will ring CommSec at some time to ask them, because it's an interesting point.
