Lithium electric cars, and plug-in hybrid cars, have an enormous advantage over hydrogen fuel-cell vehicles in utilizing low-carbon electricity.
This is because of the inherent inefficiency of the entire hydrogen fueling process, from generating the hydrogen with that electricity, to transporting this diffuse gas long distances, to getting the hydrogen in the car, and then running it through a fuel cell all for the purpose of converting the hydrogen back into electricity to drive the exact same electric motor you'll find in an Li-ion powered electric car. Consequently major U.S. car manufacturers have given up on hydrogen powered vehicles and opted instead for lithium ion batteries.
Note: ADY holds 20% of the worlds lithium reserves suitable for Li-ion battery production.
