You sound very confident a deal has been done. Hope you’re right; this PE has become a millstone around the necks of both FAR and Woodside. I wrote months back that deals almost invariably get done to resolve these winner-takes-all disputes and it makes eminent sense here.
Why will a big oiler not step up with a better bid? Simple. Only WPL can solve PE.
If you are right, Hot, then FAR will be upgraded significantly IMO. We just need to be conscious that every cent now adds $50 mil to our market cap, so temper your expectations.
