Go to your local hardware or plumbing supply, buy a short length of copper pipe, a standard brass pipe to pipe connection and all the tools required to make that connection, don't forget the teflon tape, then buy the equivalent Sharkbite products.
Go home and do the connections. You'll come to the same conclusion. The Sharkbite product is easy to use, it saves a huge amount of time and the benefits of use are very tangible to non-plumbing people.
It is a no brainer.
