Overall I like your post dolphin. My only point of difference is that the possible direction of Ni price could be down in the light of the continuing rise in LME stockpile.
One of MCR's strong points is its excellent management which is able to sniff out Ni prospects better than most others. I think they will carry across this management skill into other commodities over time so its worthwhile to hold MCR unless there is stockmarket meltdown, in which case sell and buy back in cheaper (after factoring in CGT considerations).
I no longer hold MCR, but have some WSA and some Ni specs.
