When comparing various UCG projects one must recognize that every deposit is different in chemical composition thus when gassification takes place we get different breakdown..e g.this can be varied by adding catalysts to the steam injected. tempature of burn is critical so is pressure (Boyles Law)

In the case of Cougar I strongly suspect we have contamination somewhere...NOT DUE To GASSIFICATION.

There is lots of literaature at CSIRO, particularly of the former lurgi gas plant at Morwell VIC..
