The answer to most questions like this is base, raw, human nature. Even the most experienced investors and traders continue to make errors due to raw human emotion (hold losers, buy too much, etc). Its almost possible to eradicate completely. It's also why 90% plus lose money net.
In this instance, the que'stion is: would anyone sell shares if they felt the shares would appreciate in value? Whilst most of us could conjure up scenarios that could fit, the real answer is a resounding 'no'.
Our Interim MD make a decision based on personal interest that there was a very low chance the shares would be going up.
Whether it was legal or not is a separate issue that I can't answer. But for me, her sale was one of the most disheartening things I have seen as a 'hoper'in this stock.
We don't need an official statement - join the dots - the MD thinks the stock is a sell.
