On a poll, ASX votes are counted based on the number of shares a member holds. Each fully paid security gets one vote, and partly paid securities get a fraction of a vote corresponding to the paid-up amount. Direct votes, where shareholders submit their vote directly, are counted by the number of shares held by each member.
