And before an insurance company like IAG would endorse it and give discounts, they would look thru their database and determine what percentage of break-ins occur in houses which have alarm systems and where the telephone line has been cut. I would think about less than 0.1% and business breakins with telephony cut would also be less than 1%, so is there really a need for this product, or a market in Australia. Also, I would be interested in the percentage of home alarms which have paid monitoring. This device with its ongoing overheads and lack of real need in Australia will be too expensive for most in Australia, however, maybe some businesses will have a desire for it though.
