CSC can simply offer NHS trusts viaduct and help them integrate all the existing iSoft products that are in use in 60% of the trusts - and help them STAY. There is nothing wrong with keeping the existing NHS customers on existing products and reap recurring revenues for years to come. This is why CSC is buying the whole of iSoft rather than just the Lorenzo IP.
While Bacon is critical of NPfIT and Lorenzo he's not critical of existing iSoft solutions. He's more inclined toward keeping the existing iSoft solutions, I think.
And while reaping recurring revenues from NHS trusts CSC can also reach a few other markets with Lorenzo. The Dutch, the Germans, and other Europeans love Lorenzo. Don't forget there's also Aust/NZ, Asia Pacific.
