I understand the point of view pat and my first thoughts were along those lines but a suspension just means that potential buyers do not get too much power.

They can happily just stall at the moment and see the SP fall as a result, while if it was suspended for a week or two while details were finalised for SPP or a deal then their negotiating power wouldn't be quite as strong.

Just my opinion...
