I started out trying to trade. But around this time last year I liquidated some of the best stocks (LGL, MGX, NCM) only to regret afterward. That's when I switched to buy and hold strategy, not because short term trading is any inferior but because it doesn't mix well with a full time job.

In other words, my adoption of buy and hold strategy is not a rejection of short term trading but an admission that I was not good at it. But after following the market very closely for the last 18 months having tried short term trades as well as buy-and-hold I think at the end of the day it all comes down to one key word: value. And BLY is a great bargain at the moment.
