Most of them time, the appointment are made to manage overseas workers. Sujatha seems to be from India (originally) hence APX felt she can manage better any development work carried out in India.

Remember why Bhatia was appointed to as Director and MD of LNK ? because Bhatia was managing Mumbai Data & development centre which all ended in disaster ( except take over )
