thanks rkjk :) I'll have to look into this triangle stuff some more it is something I've not been using at all!!! I've been slowly trying to get a feel for T/A over the last 6-9 months or so (could be a bit longer).. I mostly just look for visual clues and try and make associations between indicators and price movements, and look for horisontal support lines, not trending ones (though you can sort of see the trend without drawing the lines)... about the only predictive indicator I've found I can use so far is RSI for predicting pull backs in overheated stocks... will take a look at GDN and CDU, but I think now I'll head for bed ;)
