I think if you look closely, all the best prospective ground is held by the major mining companies. The majors are hardly going to go exploring until their current mines are running down. The current high prices suit the majors just fine, no need for more capacity or new discoveries. The big finds are made when costs are low and the old mines are getting to an end to their economic life.
