Turnaround CEO's are driven by the challenge and relish scenarios like SpaceTalk's. A good one would already know before starting what they are going to do, no doubt, no hesitation, no learning curve. And the good ones are not expensive, aware of the precarious cash position they inherit. And they are widely connected, including internationally, so can leverage expansion onto their unique backgrounds.
(Incidentally I just learned that the company has rejected my mate for CEO, who is perhaps the world's top turnaround CEO, proving my previous point that recruiters often cannot see what is obvious in front of them.)
