- 7.2 Do I have to participate in the Buy-Back Offer? No, participation in the Buy-Back is optional. If you do not want to sell any of your Shares, you do not need to take any action. If you do nothing, the number of Shares you hold will not change as a result of the Buy-Back Offer, although your proportional shareholding in ASS will increase.
They are offering $2.88 per share with no brokers fees - which may sound O.K. However, don't forget that we poor suckers forked out the equivalent of $200 for each share!!!
In my opinion the reason why they are interested in taking shares instead of Director's fees is that they are taking a punt that there might be lots more coming from the Court settlement.
