Once you have a basic understanding you can ask the right questions from your Fund Trustee.
My experience has been that most people just don't have the long term vision and thus just take the "Soft Easy" path of a Company Super Scheme with the default options.
If you have a dedicated Employer fund, they should have a Committee consisting of members, management and the provider. Try and get on this (nomination and election by the other members). From here you start to see those that are doing very well from your hard earned contributions !
Take control of your Super and you may be able to retire earlier than expected - I will be.
