Ahhh see that is where you don't get it though.................................
If you set the bar high then you build in great expectation - if you only expect single digit royalties then anything better exceeds expectation & brings a higher push in price on the flipside if you come out shooting expectations of 10-20% royalties $20M upfront or whatever you're banging on about then an outcome of anything less and prospective royalties in single digits is then met with disappointment and kicked to the kerb.
As for predicting the sum of what royalties may be in several years time if the drug is successful in future trials, gains approval and meets market well plenty of time left there and hurdles to cross first.
