This is becoming very scary. It could possibly be as high as 600 this week. Now that our intrepid leaders have flown off to watch Wimbledon and the Olympics for the next 6 weeks,we could have in excess of 3600 -5000 by the time they get back.

Ok all you left wing social engineers a simple question

How many will it take before you say enough is enough,10,000 -100,000 ?
Its pretty obvious now to anyone just how much the Indonesians are behind this,or the part they are playing.

Therefore, in a very very short time we might be looking back saying 'remember the days when we only had 600-1000 per week.

Why worry about winning the war in Afghanistan the Taliban is bringing it to us and at this rate every Naval vessel we have will be employed north of here

Three asylum seeker vessels have either arrived at Christmas Island or been intercepted since politicians yesterday failed to strike a deal that could stop the flow of boats.

And there are unconfirmed reports from Christmas Island that a fourth boat may have arrived.

The first arrived late last night. It is believed to be carrying 44 people.

Another, thought to be carrying around 100 people, arrived this morning.

A third boat is about to be intercepted north of the island.

There are no details on the possible fourth vessel.

The Federal Government announced the arrival of the first boat in a statement last night.

Home Affairs Minister Jason Clare said the vessel had been intercepted by HMAS Leeuwin.

The passengers were due to be transferred to Christmas Island for security, health and identity checks this morning.

A spokeswoman for Mr Clare said there was no indication the intercepted vessel was in distress or that any of the boat's passengers were hurt.
