Being a country lad i have to say that guns are a necessary tool for the rural sector and in my youth i was an active member of the Sporting Shooters’ Association and a part of the Tumut Rifle Club competing in target shooting.
I agree with you 100% rabbitoh and there are a lot of law abiding people who actively hunt and compete in shooting. But to partake in this should be a privilege not a right and if someone wonts to own a gun/rifle they should be put right under the spot light, this should by no means be and easy process for anyone to own a firearm legally.
