I agree. While he may be popular with the electorate, at this point in time Rudd is toxic to his own party. The mirror of that is Turnbull, again he is popular outside the party but less so within....however Turnbull doesn't seem to be hellbent on destruction of Abbott the way Rudd is with Gillard.
