    Hi Finch,

I wouldn't say lithium batteries in aircraft have a 'fire tendancy' as such. It is a heat issue. Traditionally aircraft draw bleed air from the engines to power de ice boots as well as other systems like the air con system.
With the new generation of aircraft and their lithium batteries, aircraft will save engine power by utilising the batteries to power these systems. However, they will need to draw large amounts of energy from the lithium batteries to power these systems, thus the heat issue and ultimately thermal runaway.

These lithium batteries make the 787 about 30% more fuel efficient than a 767. I wouldn't be suprised if a notable australian carrier increases their number of these aircraft in the near term as well as the 777x aircraft which will allow direct flights from Australia to the east coast of America. Lithium batteries will have a massive impact on aviation over the next few years. IMO PLS will be a player in supplying the materials and if it dent get bought out soon I can see myself retiring off the back of this stock at the ripe age of 26.
