No Mention about - Drinkers beware

I can remember in my life time of 75 years when we had an epidemic
years ago we were advised not to use Glasses in hotels or cups
for coffee etc as the dish washers were no hot enough to kill the virus.
Hotels used to sell the new drink - "the stubbie".
How times have changed and at least for coffee we have a plastic cup.

The theory was that this virus was also transmitted through human saliva??

Have not seen mention of this anywhere ??
