It's not just a permit from the state, it's also the mining commission in Raleigh, then county permits, then the planning and zoning folks have to take a look. All of this isn't going to take "six months."
Problem is the county commissioners are against it. It wasn't hard for me to find that out.
But keep on doubling down. Classic sunk cost fallacy.
