No one ever said there is an AUTOMATIC 9 year renewal set in stone as you suggest. MM has mentioned that there are upward of 9 years available of patent extensions which of course would need to be applied for through appropriate legal channels ... along with the filing of Immunomodulation PCT. Patent protection for BIT225 will simply not just expire in a few years as you suggest, there are many options for extension available which as you suggest is COMPLEX..
