I agree in general. But I think there have been incursions into that more recently - not around religion specifically but beliefs deriving from that. For a long time many of our laws reflected a very Christian Catholic perspective on life.

And if that became more prevalent I’d have a problem. There a reason for trying to separate state and religion!
