Muslims traditionally have held Christianity and Judaism in great respect and acceptance of different interpretations was normal in Arabic communities.

"Ignoring this makes you look stupid Scottie.". .. I would rather offer that reading religious and geographic historical accounts is very enlightening. I highly recommend such studies.
